European leaders call for restraint after Israel strikes Iran

European leaders are asking everyone to be calm after Israel attacked some military places in Iran.

France: The French government said they are worried about more fighting. They urged everyone to be careful and avoid actions that could make things worse in the region.

Switzerland: The Swiss government also spoke out, saying they do not like the increasing violence in the Middle East. They want all fighting to stop to prevent more problems.

Germany: Chancellor Olaf Scholz mentioned that Israel tried to keep people safe during their attacks. He said this is a chance to calm things down. He also warned Iran to stop escalating tensions so that peace can have a chance in the Middle East.

Iran said the attacks from Israel caused some damage, but not a lot, and two soldiers lost their lives. These strikes were expected, especially as Israel is currently involved in a big operation in northern Gaza and is dealing with a group called Hezbollah in Lebanon.
